Transform Child's Artwork into Nightlight

*Slip a splashy painting into the frame for a
unique and lovely nightlight (images by salsapie) *Another option: an adorable hand print

I love nightlights. As a grown-up who is still a little scared of the dark, I find nightlights very calming. We all know children love nightlights since they provide comfort in the evenings or in dark corners of homes.
This project is a fun way to display your child's artwork and requires only a few moments of your time to make.

How To:
Materials Needed: One 3x4 acrylic picture frame (the kind with the with bended acrylic base "stand")
One standard nightlight

I used a 3 x 4 acrylic picture frame and turned it upside down. Removing the plastic "shade" over the bulb (just pops right off) I glued the acrylic frame upside-down (with the stand part protruding towards the back of the nightlight) onto the area where the original plastic shade was attached. I used hot-glue as my glue of choice.

Size down your child's artwork to fit, and voila! Another cute way to display the budding artists' creations!

p.s. I'm still brainstorming about the vintage cards...stay tuned!
