Every Friday my Mom would go get groceries....and she would buy me and my brother a candy bar. I always got a Three Muskateers bar...and would eat the chocolate off first, then eat the malty middle. Oh, dear..that was almost 50 years ago. Such sweet memories, though!!!

Oh Deb, I LOVE that story! And , there is nothing better than a Three Muskateers bar!
I hope the readers today will leave with full hearts reading all the happy memories from the commenters. It's so easy to focus on the memories that aren't so great in life, that I'd thought it'd be nice to ask people to remember what made them happy!
And, thank you for following me. I am so glad you like the blog. That makes ME happy!

p.s. I am not entering myself into the contest with the comment (never fear)

Dying Easter Eggs at Grandma's house...then hunting them the next day! Good times! Even Grandpa walked around the yard with a little Easter basket for "us girls"!

Licking the mixing spoon after my grandmother made her standard birthday cake for a member of the family. It was always such a special treat.

Would love this set to cook with my daughter - I have fond memories of cooking with my mother - stirring homemade bread dough with a big wooden spoon!

I loved going to buy new shoes. I'd put them carefully to rest each night back in the box they came in. The leather smelled so, well, NEW, and I swear they improved my posture too. Who knew I'd love this same ritual as an adult?

What made me happy was when my family (extended members too) got together. It would be nice now if we culd but there are 7 siblings and well we all have our own families now.
