Basil Ricotta Whole Wheat Penne Frittata

Over the Memorial Day weekend I was inspired to try the Penne Frittata recommended by Joanna Goddard in her Sunday Suppers Post. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, especially since I altered the recipe a bit by using whole wheat pasta (my personal favorite). 
Well, I was so pleased with the outcome (see my frittata here on the left) that I decided it was one of my new favorite dishes. Not to mention, it is super easy to make, which is something that everyone likes.

I would like to mention that I followed the directions to a "T" (with the exception of switching out the regular pasta for whole wheat) but my actual baking time, with my oven set to 400, was closer to 15 minutes.

That frittata looks great...I do use whole wheat pasta too, I like how it tastes and its healthier...You did so well!
