Indoor Hopscotch

Repost: I was looking over some of my old blog posts and I came across this one. I've been nostalgic lately since my oldest daughter started Kindergarden and is at school all day. I wrote this post on a rainy day in 2009 when all my little chickens were at home in the Salsa Pie nest. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this SUPER easy idea--we certainly did and still do!

Rainy Day Activity Idea:

Use Painter's Tape to make an Indoor Hopscotch court for your kids. There are many ways to make the court, as this game is played all around the world with so many variations. For our court, I used Painter's Tape (easily comes off) and geared it towards two toddlers: a 2 1/2  and 4 year old. We used shapes (just for fun) instead of numbers, and made a ball out of aluminum foil (it was the perfect weight) to throw into the squares. We kept it short and sweet for the tiny little legs.

Happy Hopscotch!

Thanks, SMT! YOU always have fabulous ideas! I would recommend anyone who reads this check out your blog. I always find something cool there!

p.s. I also wanted to tell my readers I have been posting less these past couple of weeks as we adjust to our new school schedule. Now that we are in the routine, you'll see more DIY projects. In fact, working on one now!

We had done something similar once with books...which since books slide around a bit, didn't work out perfectly.

What a great idea! I'm going to MA to visit Katie and the girls in October and I'm going to tell her about this. Great for snowy days! I've missed you, Caroline. You may have not posted as much, but I've been crazy busy and haven't read as much. I'm trying to get back into the swing of it.
