Scenes: All is Well

It's a funny thing when you realize that nothing stands still in time. I'd like to keep my son's first year frozen but I can no more do that than keep my oldest and middle daughters from starting school. And with each year I find myself saying more and more frequently, "Man, that went by fast!"

I juggle chores, children and side-jobs from my blog-life. I clean up more spilled juice and cracker crumbs than anyone could imagine. I find inspiration then I lose it. I feel on top of everything and then I forget an important date. I find a shirt that actually matches something else I want to wear and then I realize I have nothing else clean and I'm a fashion disaster. But the children have their lunches packed and homework signed and everyone is fed in the house, so all is well in Urdaneta land, I think.

Life as a mother is like this: the whole word doesn't stop for you to figure it out. It just keeps going and you have to go with the flow, let the spilled juice not ruin your day even if it does your outfit. Sometimes I get it wrong and sometimes I don't but at the end of the day a snuggle with the children is never the wrong answer.

And oh how I love those snuggles!

Our children's snuggles ARE the best and there can never be too many!

Snuggles are the best. As they say about motherhood, the days are long but the years go by fast.
