living on love today

My older two girls started school this week, so that means I only have the two little ones at home with me and truth be told, I'm a little bummed about the older girls being gone. It's always an adjustment to get used to a new routine of the new school year. But! it's also bittersweet because they really enjoy school and they both have excellent teachers this year.

Part of the sweet of the new routine is that I get to spend more time with the little ones. And that precious time is fleeting.

Tell me all of you moms out there, how do you do when the kids go back to school? I certainly enjoy a little more quiet time, but I also miss being able to just poke my head in the next room for a hug or to say "hi".

How do you adjust to the new school routine?

p.s. Fun news: today, I'm being featured over on one of my favorite blogs, Living on Love. I'd love for you to visit me there.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

My send them off to school days still feel far away. Although I know he will be in school before I know it. I have been focusing on all the time we get to spend together (storing it up in the hopes that it will make sending him to school a little easier).

Carla, not too long ago I remember those days!! In my opinion, it's never easy to send them off to school but it gets easier. I think I enjoy knowing they are enjoying things and then when we reunite at the end of the day, they have all this fun stuff to tell me. And sometimes it's not fun stuff, but they build life skills when we talk about it and they learn how to handle, say a misbehaving child in school stomping on another child's foot. Carla--you are SO smart to focus on the special time now! :)

Oh, I know exactly what you mean and I am in the middle of writing about it myself.

The bittersweet and the time you get to focus on each child individually.

My three start next Wednesday and I am holding my breath while soaking up every second of them still being home. I really LIKE my kids and I love hanging out with them.

Hate to admit it, but I loved every moment they were in school. It made my life so much easier to have that time to get things done before they arrived home.

And I was always excited to welcome them!

With both of mine at school (full time) I started babysitting. Extra money and my mind is filled with the care of the baby. I would like one day off per week to volunteer but as of now my week is filled with babies.
